Engaged Abroad began as a project to share our travels with friends and family.
In 2017, my husband and I left our software sales jobs and embarked upon a year-and-a-half journey around the world. We traveled in six month stretches and “one-bagged” across 35 countries, exploring 250 cities and towns along the way. During our travels we realized we could share our experiences and learnings with a broader community of adventurers.
We bring experience as solo travelers, students on university abroad programs, participants on (and organizers of) family trips, partners, parents and business people. Each of these different roles inherently changes our approach to how we organize and manage trips and we hope to share our perspective on these pages.
Engaged Abroad’s goal is to help explorers make the most of their travels and our mission is to develop the next generation of globally aware and culturally competent citizens.
